Trusting God in Every Season

“The Lord your God has blessed you in all the work of your hands. He has watched over your journey through this vast wilderness. These forty years the Lord your God has been with you, and you have not lacked anything.”— Deuteronomy 2:7 (ESV)

Reflection

When I look back over my life’s journey, I see the unmistakable hand of God. He has watched over me, guided my steps, sustained me through every season, and blessed the work of my hands. Truly, His strength has been made perfect in my weakness.

There have been moments shadowed by fear, grief, and uncertainty. Yet even in those times, I can say with confidence: I have lacked nothing. God has never left me. His faithfulness has never failed.

Psalm 23 reminds me that even in the darkest valleys, I do not walk alone. Because the Lord is my Shepherd, I lack nothing. He guards my soul. He walks beside me. His rod and His staff protect and guide. His presence brings joy; His nearness is my peace.

What anchors me today is this truth: the same God who watched over the Israelites during their forty-year journey through the wilderness is the same God who watches over me. The God who never left me in the past will not leave me now. And He will carry me through whatever lies ahead.

In fact, God has been with me and provided for me even longer than He did for the Israelites. That alone is reason enough to press on—trusting in His goodness, resting in His faithfulness, and hoping in His promises.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for walking with me through every season of life. Teach me to count my blessings and name them one by one, just as the old hymn reminds me. Help me remember that You are the same yesterday, today, and forever. Strengthen me to walk with confidence and a grateful heart, always mindful of Your presence and provision.In Jesus’ name, Amen.
