“For we live by faith, not by sight.” — 2 Corinthians 5:7 (NIV)
Reflection:
There’s something deeply unsettling about walking without being able to see. Whether it’s a medical diagnosis, a delayed promise, unanswered prayers, or just a season of uncertainty—I often crave clarity and control. I want to know what’s next before I take a step.
But this verse reminds me: faith doesn’t work like that.
Faith invites me to trust God even when the path is blurry. It means choosing to act based on what God says is true, not just on what I see or feel.
I’m learning to encourage myself even when I’m tired or discouraged. I’m learning to say, “It is well.”
It is well—because my hope is not in my situation; it is in my Savior.
One verse I lean on often is Romans 12:12: “Rejoice in hope, be patient in affliction, be constant in prayer.” This reminds me that I can walk by faith even when I can’t see the way forward.
Prayer:
Dear Lord,Help me to trust You wholeheartedly—even in the small things.Remind me that I don’t need all the answers—I just need You. Today, I choose to live by faith, not by sight.Strengthen me, Lord.Even when I can’t see it, I trust You’re working.Lead me step by step.I want to please You.Your Word says that without faith, it is impossible to please You. So help me to walk in faith today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Action Steps:
Identify One Thing You're Struggling to Trust God With.
Write it down in a journal or speak it out loud in prayer. Be specific—God can handle your honesty.
Declare “It Is Well” Daily.
Whether things feel well or not, speak those words in faith. Remind your soul: God is good, and God is faithful.
